Arts Psychotherapist
Are you an Art, Music or Drama Psychotherapist who would like to share your professionalism and experience to support vunerable children and young people in West London?
The current vacany is for an experienced psychotherapist to offer weekly sessions for children in Key Stage 2 and 3, all based in Ealing, Southall and Northolt. The post we offer is for two days a week, during school hours and the rate will be from £200 depending on experience.
Relevant information
Prior relevant experience of working in schools, particularly KS2-KS3 or with childrens services is desirable and needs to be given in full on your current CV.
All our therapists are engaged on a self-employed basis, with a contract for 10 weekly sessions over a whole term, which is usually negotiated for the whole of a child’s individual process and varies according to each referral. We recommend individual therapy takes place over a minimum of a year
All our team members are subject to Enhanced DBS checks, HCPC registration and therefore have protected status or UKCP equivalent qualification and arts experience.
Chance Arts provides planning and managerial supervision for all it’s therapists. Team members are expected to have supervision with a supervisor of their own discipline.
Requirements when making your application
current CV including all relevant experience and the names and contact details of two professional referees
Evidence of Accredited Training Programme MA Art Therapy, Dramatherapy or Music Therapy, and membership of a professional body (BAT, BADth/BAMT) and designated protected status
For UKCP evidence of equivalent accredited training and professional registration.
The right to work in the UK with current permits if applicable
A current DBS, or willingness to get one.

Trustee Roles
We’re looking for someone who is interested in our work, has commitment, and an understanding of the need to maximise our financial resources.
The Trustees oversee the governance of Chance for Children Trust. They ensure the effective and efficient administration of Chance Arts including financial stability and the proper use of funds; and to comply with the relevant legislation and regulation of the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
We have four quarterly board meetings and all our Trustees are registered with the Disclosure and Barring Service (Enhanced Level).
